Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ) provides student support services aimed at enhancing the capability of Catholic primary and secondary schools to assist students with diverse learning needs.

Student Engagement staff based at each regional office are as follows:

  • Education Officers Wellbeing
  • Psychologists
  • Speech Pathologists
  • Learning Consultants – Behaviour
  • Learning Consultants – Chronic Health / Physical Disability
  • Learning Consultants – Diversity (Additional Learning Needs)
  • Learning Consultants – Hearing
  • Learning Consultants – English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • Learning Consultants – Vision.

Regional staff work as members of a transdisciplinary team.

Regional services are accessed by schools through an established referral process. Parents need to approve the direct involvement of Student Engagement staff with their child. The referral process is common across all regional offices and utilises the expertise of staff in a transdisciplinary, integrated model of service delivery. The service effectively uses the skills of all regional staff and aims to provide fair, just and equitable services to all students in Catholic schools.
