Role Description/Criteria:

St Paul's is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated teacher to be Literacy Leader and classroom teacher. This is a full time position: Literacy Leader allocation of 0.6FTE (3 days); classroom teacher allocation of 0.4FTE (2 days). This is a senior leadership role (POL 2) within the school and will be part of the Leadership Team. The position is ongoing and will commence in Term 1.

The successful applicant would be committed to their own personal, spiritual and professional growth and that of their school community. You would be working with a committed and friendly staff team, within a strong and supportive school community.

The successful applicant will have the capacity to:

  • oversee and drive the implementation of contemporary learning and pedagogy in the area of Literacy
  • work effectively to lead team and work within the Leadership Team
  • build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
  • provide effective differentiated teaching in the key areas of literacyÌý
  • work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams
  • support the Catholic ethos of the school.

Applicant Requirements

The successful applicant will require:Ìý

  • a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria
  • a current CV including referees one of whom being the applicant's current principal
  • have strong knowledge and/or experience in leading literacy
  • be committed to the ethos of Catholic education
  • current VIT registrationÌý
  • accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic SchoolÌýÌý
  • be committed to maintaining the standards set out in our Child Safety Code of Conduct
