Role Description/Criteria
We seek a passionate 0.6 FTE teacher of Performing Arts (P-6) with a strong work ethic to join our team at St George Preca School. The role is a contract position covering three days per week (Both the FTE and days of work are negotiable)/ The position commences at the start of the 2025 school year.
The successful candidate will provide students with a range of rich and engaging experiences in Performing Arts.
Selection Criteria
This position requires high-level Performing Arts & organizational skills. The successful applicant should have the knowledge and skills to:

- Enhance and teach the Performing Arts program according to the Victorian Curriculum
- Organise systematic assessment of student’s Performing Arts skill development
- Meet with the designated Learning and Teaching Leader regularly to discuss the Performing Arts program being delivered
- Work alongside the Learning and Teaching Team to make connections between Performing Arts and other classroom curriculum
- PromotePerforming Arts in the school and to the wider community
- Assess, analyze, document, monitor, and track student progress
- Develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater to individual learning needs
- Use the knowledge of students, content, and pedagogy to establish clear, achievable, documented, and targeted learning goals
- Use contemporary learning tools to engage students and staff in their learning
- Regularly reflect on and critically evaluate professional knowledge and the effectiveness of teaching and commit to the school’s feedback culture and practices

Special Requirements
The successful applicant will:

- have an understanding of the ethos and traditions of the Catholic Church
- have VIT registration
- be accredited to teach RE or committed to achieving this accreditation
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- commit to St George Preca School's Child Safe policies and the Code of Conduct
