Role Description/Criteria

St Augustine's is seeking an experienced LSO for a contract position, to support primary school funded NCCD students.

The successful applicant will be required to work under the supervision of the Learning Diversity Leader and Class Teacher to provide direct or indirect services to students or assist students on an individual or group basis in specific learning areas. This position requires an understanding of contemporary learning pedagogies including the use of flexible learning spaces, Growth Mindsets, Inquiry and technology in the classroom. The ability to demonstrate collaborative skills will be essential.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. Certificate III or IV in Education Support and previous primary school experience in this role. ( an advantage)
  2. Understanding of NCCD funding model an advantage.
  3. Current Police and Working With Children Check.
  4. Special Education training/qualification an advantage
  5. Names and contact details (including mobile phone number) of at least 3 referees.

Tenure:

Contract position commencing immediately. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:00 pm. Or by negotiation.
